FORMED 2006
Hanley Park Rangers F.C were formed in 2006 by Staffordshire University student Mike Serieys. The team consisting solely of students decided it would be a good idea to join the local Staffordshire University league 2.
After one training match together the lads all offered suggestions for a team name, with the original favourite being AFC Shelton. However, after careful consideration the name was changed to the infamous Hanley Park Rangers F.C that we know and love today.
In the clubs first season the side finished 5th out of 6 in the league, and went out of the cup in the second round.
In the clubs second season the side finished 8th out of 10 in the league, and went out of the cup in the second round.
After the clubs second season the side split up, but returned in September 2007 to enter the Powerleauge in Division 3.
After the clubs third season the side finished 6th out of 8, and went out of the two cups in the first rounds.
After the clubs forth season the side finished 3rd out of 6, and went out of the cup in the first rounds.
After the clubs fifth season the side finished 6th out of 6, and went out of the cup in the first rounds.
